Privacy Policy

Your Connection to Early Detection is committed to respecting your privacy. We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) (e.g. name, address, or phone number) from users. We do conduct online surveys that are anonymous, do not collect PII, and user participation is voluntary. If you decide to not participate in a survey, you will still be able to view the same information and resources on the website as other users who participate in the survey.

Browsing Data and Cookies

We do collect IP addresses from all users so that we can gather aggregate information about how our site is being used. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer whenever you access the Internet and allows computers and servers to recognize and communicate with one another. We may disclose such aggregate information to sponsors and third parties but will in no way personally identify any user to a third party.

When you visit this site, we may track information about your visit and store that information in web server logs, which are records of the activities on our site. The servers automatically capture and save the information electronically. The information we collect in web server logs helps us administer the site, analyze its usage, protect the website and its content from inappropriate use and improve the user’s experience. We also use "cookies" to track traffic on the site and user preferences. "Cookies" are small pieces of information that websites generally store on your computer's hard drive when you visit them. Collecting this information, however, does not allow us to personally identify you.

We also use Google Maps to render a map with locations for cancer screening centers. We do not use the Geolocation feature to identify your location, but you can optionally provide a zip code which will be plotted on the map. The geographic center of the zip code is used when this data is provided. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Maps about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Privacy Policy, available at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Third-Party Links and Content

When interacting with the Your Connection to Early Detection site, you may come across links or references to third-party websites and services that we do not operate or control. If you provide your PII to that third party through its websites or services, you will be subject to that third party’s privacy practices and policies and terms of use. This Statement does not apply to any PII that you provide to a third-party website or service. We recommend that you read the privacy policy that applies to that third-party website or service. A link or reference to a third-party website or service does not mean that we endorse that third party, or the quality or accuracy of the information presented on its website or service.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may make changes to our Privacy Policy from time to time, which changes are effective upon posting on the site. We recommend that you review the Privacy Policy each time you visit the site to stay up to date on our current privacy practices.
